Beck to be honored as SEC Legend

FAYETTEVILLE — Former Arkansas guard Corey Beck has been named an SEC Basketball Legend and will be honored at the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament in Nashville in March, the league office announced Friday.

Beck, the starting point guard on the Razorbacks' 1994 national championship team, ranks third in program history in assists with 483. For his career, Beck, who started every game over his last two seasons at Arkansas, averaged 7.9 points on 50 percent shooting and 4.7 assists per game.

In Arkansas' 76-72 win over Duke in the 1994 national championship game, Beck recorded a double-double, finishing with 15 points, a season-high 10 rebounds and four assists.
