Arkansas entered Saturday’s game against Auburn with the No. 4 offense in country. The Razorbacks had put up so many yards that interim head coach Bobby Petrino, who was the offensive coordinator until three weeks ago, had earned plaudits from fans and alumni who wish to see the interim tag removed at season’s end.
Don’t buy it. The Razorbacks stumbled a third straight loss with Petrino at the helm and a sixth straight defeat overall. That they had managed to be so prolific on offense with quarterback Taylen Green running the show is a testament to luck more than anything.
