Tick-tock.
Like Tik-Tok with President Donald Trump, Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek’s deadline to hire a football general manager for the 2025 season has passed. Instead, less than a month out from football season, Remy Cofield remains as the athletic department’s all-sports GM.
And much like Tik-Tok with Trump, no one is quite sure if that’s a good thing or a bad one.
See, Yurachek said in the spring he hoped to hire those sport-specific GMs, a player-relations manager and an analytics manager by August 1. But the only thing that appears to have happened in that realm is the loss of director of player personnel Jovon Hubbard, who was hired as assistant general manager at Auburn.
