When new Arkansas football coach Ryan Silverfield said his players need to be “all in,” perhaps the best example of that from last season is linebacker Wyatt Simmons.
A three-star prospect out of Harding Academy in Searcy, Ark., Simmons redshirted his first season before appearing in all 12 games as a redshirt freshman. As Arkansas trudged through a 2-10 campaign, Simmons emerged late and finished the year with 17 tackles. His most memorable moment came against LSU, when he blocked a punt that resulted in a touchdown — the Razorbacks’ first punt-block score since 2009 against Eastern Michigan.
