FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas women's track and field announced the hiring of Iliyan Chamov as an assistant coach Monday.
Chamov will work with jumpers and combined event athletes.
His hiring comes two months after longtime assistant Bryan Compton announced his retirement. Compton spent 26 years with the Razorbacks working primarily with pole vaulters, as well as field athletes and multi-event athletes.
Chamov spent the past 10 seasons as an assistant coach at Missouri, where he worked with both the men's and women's teams.
Prior to his decade with the Tigers, Chamov was an assistant at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville from 2013-15 and Lindenwood from 2009-11.
