FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas women’s golf coach Shauna Taylor said she is quite pleased, though admittedly a little surprised the No. 2 Razorbacks were sent to Columbus, Ohio, to serve as the No. 1 seed for an NCAA regional May 5-7.
“To be honest, I was a little bit shocked to go to Columbus, just because they typically go kind of nearest to your region [for top seeds],” Taylor said. “So we kind of expected to go to Norman, Oklahoma.”
Instead the Razorbacks will tangle with second-seeded and SEC rival LSU, followed by host Ohio State, Kansas, Houston, SMU, UNLV and Illinois as the top 8 seeds at the OSU Golf Club.
