FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas volleyball got off to a strong start Sunday afternoon, but LSU clawed back for a 3-1 (12-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-23) victory at Barnhill Arena.
The Razorbacks (5-8, 1-1 SEC) had a 21-19 lead in the fourth set after a kill by setter Kiki Remensperger, but LSU (8-5, 1-1) reeled off five straight points to set up match point. Arkansas freshman Parker Duncan picked up back-to-back kills to pull within 24-23, but a tip by Jessica Jones found the floor and gave LSU the win.
Arkansas coach Jason Watson said a key difference was his team wasn’t able to put much pressure on LSU from the service line.
