Arkansas tight end target Tyrus Washington said his official visit to Fayetteville has boosted the Razorbacks' chances to land him.
"Boosted it a lot. Boosted it real good,” Washington said.
Washington, 6-4, 230 pounds, Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County, has more than 20 scholarship offers from schools such as Arkansas, South Carolina, Tennessee, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, Vanderbilt, Kansas State and other programs.
He said Fayetteville is much like his hometown.
“Not like the big city,” he said. “You can drive any way you want without getting into traffic. It's out in the open.
