One of the top FCS players in the transfer portal has scheduled a visit to Arkansas.
Jared Richardson, a three-time All-Ivy League wide receiver at Penn, will arrive in Fayetteville on Monday, he told Best of Arkansas Sports. He has also scheduled visits to North Carolina State and Duke.
Listed at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, Richardson is coming off a monster season in which he was one of five receivers among 30 finalists for the Walter Payton Award — essentially the Heisman Trophy of the FCS.
While not part of the trio of top-three finalists who’ll attend Saturday’s award ceremony, Richardson is visiting a campus that produced four national players of the year in 2025: Wehiwa Aloy (baseball), Bri Ellis (softball), Jordan Anthony (men’s track and field) and Maria Jose Marin (women’s golf).
