FAYETTEVILLE — Ashtyn Reichardt thought she was in trouble.
The Arkansas softball freshman outfielder — who is redshirting this season because of her second torn anterior cruciate ligament, now having sustained the injury once in each knee — was called into coach Courtney Deifel’s office.
Reichardt didn’t know what the meeting was about and her mind wandered — “What did I do?” she wondered.
Well, she didn’t do anything.
No issues; no trouble.
Instead, Deifel wanted to keep Reichardt involved despite her injury, which she had surgery for just days before moving onto campus.
