Courtney Deifel would have a difficult time if her Arkansas softball team was a high-stakes poker hand. With a stacked deck of returning players, she’d have a hard time maintaining a stoic poker face.
Deifel begins her 11th season as the Razorbacks' coach, and she’s never had the wealth of experience this team does heading into their fall schedule. She has her top two pitchers — one a left-hander and the other a right-hander — who combined for 34 of the team’s 44 wins last season. The entire middle of the defense also returns, and she’s added two premier players from the transfer portal.
