The Razorbacks are definitely putting in work to have a defensive roster with a strong South Louisiana flavor. Arkansas has received its first commitment for the 2017 recruiting class with the pledge of safety/outside linebacker Derrick Munson from Archbishop Rummel in Metairie, Louisiana just outside of New Orleans.
Munson is the fourth player from the school to commit to Arkansas in recent years, along with current Hogs Henre' Toliver and Dwayne Eugene, and current commit Briston Guidry. The Razorbacks are hoping to add to it next week when 5-star cornerback Kristian Fulton announces his decision. Another current commit, linebacker De'jon Harris, is from Marrero, Louisiana which is in the same New Orleans area.
