FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said Wednesday he wouldn't rule out playing two quarterbacks against No. 1 Alabama even if starter Feleipe Franks returns from a rib injury.
Pittman said Franks has practiced this week but is not 100%. Franks did not play in the Razorbacks' 50-48 loss at Missouri last week.
“We’re going to continue to practice today, tomorrow,” Pittman said. “It’ll give time for him to heal up a little bit more. We’ll make a decision game time what we’re going to do at the quarterback position.”
Redshirt freshman KJ Jefferson completed 18 of 33 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for a touchdown in Franks' absence.
