Headed into the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore., both the Arkansas men’s and women’s track and field teams rank second in total entries.
The men’s team’s 15 entries will begin competition Wednesday. Only Southern Cal (17) has more entries in the meet as the Trojans go for a sweep after winning the indoor national championship.
The Razorback men, ranked No. 3 by the USTFCCCA, are seeking their first outdoor national championship since 2005, a win that was vacated for NCAA violations involving sprinter Tyson Gay. An outdoor title would be the Razorbacks’ first under 17th-year coach Chris Bucknam.
