The Arkansas men’s golf team rebounded from a tough opening round to put together back-to-back solid rounds and placed third in the Carmel Cup at Spyglass Hill Golf Course in Pebble Beach, Calif.
The No. 34 Razorbacks opened the 3-round tournament with a 364, but bounced back with rounds of 347 and 358 to finish at 1069 (11-under) and a third-place effort shared with No. 8 Oklahoma.
No. 12 Vanderbilt claimed the tournament title with a 352-346-356-1063 (17-under) and No. 1 Oklahoma State was 3 shots back with a 361-352-353-1066 (14-under). Vanderbilt grabbed the tournament lead on the first day and never relinquished it.
