Arkansas' Maria Jose Marin named SEC golfer of the year

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas sophomore Maria Jose Marin joined an elite group Friday as she was named SEC player of the year in women’s golf.

Marin, the SEC freshman of the year last season, followed former Arkansas greats Stacy Lewis (2008) and Maria Fassi (2018-19) in claiming the conference’s player of the year designation.

Marin, who is No. 4 in the Clippd national collegiate rankings, and Arkansas senior Kendall Todd were also selected as All-SEC first-team players.

Junior Reagan Zibilski and freshman Clarisa Temelo were All-SEC second-team choices, while Temelo also earned a spot on the all-freshman team.
