Arkansas lands 4-star hard hitting LB after weekend visit

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football has gained the commitment of hard hitting linebacker Daylen Green after his officiall visit to Fayetteville over the weekend.

Green, 6-2 and 210 pounds, of Havana (Fla.) Gadsden County, picked the Hogs over offers from Florida State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Colorado, Louisville, South Florida, Boston College, Duke, West Virginia and others.

He was recruited by defensive coordinator Travis Williams, running backs coach Kolby Smith and co-defensive coordinator Marcus Woodson.

Green, who has a 4.0 grade-point average, is planning to become a physical therapist after his playing days are over.

He recorded 111 tackles and 4 tackles for loss while also having 9 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown as a junior to lead the Jaguars to the Class 2A state final.
