FAYETTEVILLE — The college gymnastics season doesn't begin until January, but Arkansas sophomore Joscelyn Roberson has kept plenty busy in the offseason.
In the early hours Friday morning, Roberson won the bronze medal on vault at the FIG World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Roberson scored 13.966 and 13.600 on her vaults in the event final for a total score of 13.983.
Entering the competition, which began Saturday, Roberson was unsure if she would compete on both floor and vault or only floor. She struggled in an on-site practice Saturday. A short landing on vault led to some ankle and back soreness.
