FAYETTEVILLE — The No. 2 Arkansas women’s golf team powered past host Ohio State, then held on through treacherous scoring conditions to take a 1-stroke lead after the second round of the NCAA Columbus (Ohio) Regional on Tuesday.
The competitors played through windy and rainy conditions with tougher pin placements, making scores soar at the 6,319-yard Scarlet Course at the OSU Golf Club.
The Razorbacks shot a 10-over par Tuesday to bring their 2-day score to 4-over, 1 shot ahead of UNLV and 2 strokes better than Ohio State and Kansas.
SMU is in fifth place at 16-over, followed by LSU (+17), Kent State (+17), Houston (+20), Xavier (+23), Illinois (+24), Illinois State (+41) and Oakland (+58).
