FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football’s defensive backs are big.

Taking their listed heights and weights together, the Razorbacks’ scholarship defensive backs are an average of 1 inch taller and 4 pounds heavier than last season’s. That isn’t an eye-popping difference.

What is, however, is the difference between last year’s most common starters at safety and corner and this year’s projected ones.

This season’s potential starting safeties, Larry Worth (6-4, 226 pounds) and Miguel Mitchell (6-1, 222), are a combined 43 pounds heavier and 4 inches taller than last year’s, Jayden Johnson (6-2, 205) and TJ Metcalf (6-1, 200).
