FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas is expected to host a defensive back with elite speed for an official visit in January.
Slippery Rock cornerback Kanye Thompson said he plans to visit Arkansas on Jan. 3.
Thompson, 6-0 and 168 pounds, had 60 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks and 10 pass breakups this season. He returned 12 punts for for 145 yards in 2024.
He was also a sprinter at Slippery Rock and had a personal best of 10.13 seconds in the 100 meters in the spring. Thompson was on the 1,600 relay team that set a school record and had an anchor leg time of 40.
