FAYETTEVILLE — Former Memphis receiver Jamari Hawkins signed with Arkansas football on Monday following a visit to Fayetteville.
The crowd at Arkansas men's basketball's game against Tennessee on Saturday made a big impression on him during the visit.
"Definitely the fan base, that would be a big thing,” he said. “And obviously I know the guys, the coaches and stuff now. But the fan base was insane. Having a January game and not having a lot of students but still having a sold-out crowd, that's something that's not [that] important to me, but it's nice to have.
