Arkansas football report: Big plays a mixed bag for Razorbacks in scrimmage

FAYETTEVILLE — For the second consecutive day, Arkansas running back Mike Washington did not take long to make his presence felt in practice Saturday.

After rushing for a touchdown of at least 50 yards on the team’s first play of live tackling action Friday, the New Mexico State transfer tailback began Saturday’s scrimmage with another big gain. According to a team spokesperson, Washington picked up 62 yards on a pass from Taylen Green and capped the drive with a 4-yard rushing touchdown.

Arkansas coach Sam Pittman identified Washington as the standout performer from the scrimmage, which was the Razorbacks’ first of fall camp.
