FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football players will have through Oct. 29 to enter the transfer portal after the firing of coach Sam Pittman on Sunday.
If permitted by the remaining staff, players could enter the portal and still play in games for the Razorbacks, though such a move is uncommon. Terms of NIL and revenue sharing contracts could present an additional hurdle for players seeking to enter the portal during the season, though its possible such contracts, which are not made public, could contain provisions for if a coach is fired midseason.
Players will also still be able to enter the portal during the regular transfer portal window following the season.
