Arkansas football outlines new field rushing policy after SEC rule changes

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas announced a new field rushing policy Wednesday, which will be implemented to comply with new guidelines set by the SEC.

According to a news release, Arkansas will place a three-minute timer on the video boards at Reynolds Razorback Stadium following “momentous” wins starting with the 2025 football season.

Fans will be permitted onto the field after the three-minute delay, which will allow the visiting team, staff and officials to exit the field.

“The safety of our student-athletes and the student-athletes from the visiting institution is extremely important to all of us,” Arkansas athletics director Hunter Yurachek said in the release.
