Arkansas football notebook: WR Jalen Brown suffered multiple broken bones

FAYETTEVILLE — Midway through the third quarter with Arkansas trailing 42-13 during Saturday’s 56-13 loss to No. 22 Notre Dame at Reynolds Razorback Stadium, wide receiver Jalen Brown went down with a severe injury.

On third-and-9 at the Irish 13, quarterback Taylen Green lifted a pass in the corner of the end zone for Brown, who was being defended by Notre Dame’s Mark Zackery. Brown jumped for the throw and as he landed, his left leg bent awkwardly. He immediately grabbed his leg in pain and removed his helmet.

Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said in the postgame news conference Brown had broken his tibia and fibula.
