FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football can join a very select SEC group with an upset of No. 22 Notre Dame on Saturday at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
Georgia is the only SEC school with a winning record against the Fighting Irish, holding a 3-1 mark. The Bulldogs had been perfect in the series, including a home-and-away sweep in 2017 and 2019, before Notre Dame upset Georgia 23-10 in last year’s College Football Playoff quarterfinal at the Sugar Bowl.
Notre Dame holds a 50-27 record, a winning rate of 64.9%, against the current SEC teams. Many of the games have come in the postseason, and more than a third of them (27) against Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas came before those teams joined the SEC.
