Arkansas football notebook: QBs have good start to practice

FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas Razorbacks worked in smaller “spider” pads in rising temperatures Friday for the seventh practice of preseason training camp.

Left-handed redshirt freshman quarterback KJ Jackson had a strong performance with the second unit in fastball starts, going 3 for 3 passing during his 4-play segment.

Sophomore CJ Brown turned in the best play of the period, snagging a Taylen Green pass on the right sideline with one hand in front of Jaheim Singletary and securing it for a catch with first-down distance.

Jackson completed 2 of his passes to tight end Rohan Jones, both intermediate throws on the left side for presumed first-down yardage.
