FAYETTEVILLE — There was no escaping questions about last Saturday’s opening drive for Arkansas defensive backs Larry Worth and Caleb Wooden.
Worth started the 52-7 win over Alabama A&M, in which the Bulldogs raced down the field and scored on their first drive in 3 minutes, 35 seconds. The secondary gave up chunk passing plays of 18, 11, 26 and 13 yards during the drive.
Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said Monday the defense blew 6 coverage assignments in the sequence. It was the lone severe blemish for the Razorbacks as Alabama A&M did not gain more than 37 yards during any of its next 11 drives, punting on 9 of them.
