BATON ROUGE, La. — Bobby Petrino shot out to a two-possession lead in Saturday’s four-way race among SEC interim coaches trying to earn a first win.
By late afternoon, Petrino watched his Arkansas football team (2-8, 0-6 SEC) squander a 14-0 first-quarter advantage in a 23-22 loss at LSU.
“I mean, they all feel bad,” Petrino said. “Feel disappointed. It hurts when you put so much into it and you don’t find a way to win. There’s no question that they’re hurting in there.”
Sixth-year senior Jacobian Guillory led the Tigers’ charge to the sideline and hoisted the Golden Boot Trophy after they knelt out the clock.
