FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football interim coach Bobby Petrino commented Monday on a report from CBS Sports' Chris Hummer that interim defensive coordinator Chris Wilson was involved in an altercation with a player in mid-October.
CBS Sports did not mention the player by name, but Petrino said Monday it was defensive lineman Ken Talley.
Wilson struck Talley and left him with a bloodied lip, according to the report. The school reportedly investigated the incident after an anonymous tip.
According to the report, Wilson called Talley an expletive and the two “squared up, seemingly as a joke.” Wilson swung at least once, but sources to CBS Sports differed on who swung first and how many times.
