FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football interim coach Bobby Petrino and athletics director Hunter Yurachek had not conducted a team meeting before their noon press conference Monday. They planned to do so afterward at 2:30 p.m., where they likely met different reactions to recent events.
Petrino, who coached the Razorbacks from 2008-11 before being fired for cause in April 2012, was brought back as offensive coordinator in November 2023. Twenty-two months later, he is stepping into the interim role after the Razorbacks fired coach Sam Pittman on Sunday.
Arkansas (2-3, 0-1 SEC) lost 56-13 to No. 21 Notre Dame on Saturday at Razorback Stadium.
