Arkansas football did not capitalize on enough mistakes by Memphis

MEMPHIS — Before Memphis (4-0) realized it was coming back, it looked as if the Tigers were trying to throw away their chances during an eventual 32-31 win against Arkansas on Saturday afternoon at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

Literally.

Late in the second quarter, with the Tigers (4-0) trailing 21-10, sixth-year quarterback Brendon Lewis dropped back. Seconds before, receiver CJ Smith jogged toward him from the outside. Smith, who has yet to log his first reception in 2025, caught a lateral toss and floated it downfield into the intercepting arms of Arkansas safety Miguel Mitchell.

Lewis was 5 for 16 passing at that point.
