Arkansas running back commitment Jordan Avinger has reopened his recruitment.
He officially visited Fayetteville in June and committed to the Razorbacks on Aug. 1 while considering South Florida, Liberty, East Carolina and James Madison.
He recently added offers from North Carolina and West Virginia.
Avinger, 6-2 and 225 pounds, of Orangeburg-Wilkinson (S.C.) recorded 48 carries for 671 yards, 9 receptions for 234 yards and a total of 11 touchdowns as a junior. He also had 54 tackles, 3 forced fumbles and 1 interception at linebacker.
He’s the ninth recruit to reopen his recruitment after the firing of Arkansas coach Sam Pittman last Sunday, and defensive coordinator Travis Williams, co-defensive coordinator Marcus Woodson and defensive line coach Deke Adams were dismissed Monday.
