FAYETTEVILLE — Taylen Green took the Arkansas football team’s practice field early Friday morning for the first day of fall camp with a camera mounted to his helmet.
According to sixth-year head coach Sam Pittman, footage from the camera will be used for virtual reality technology that will help with instruction for quarterbacks. It was something Green, the team’s 6-6, 235-pound starting quarterback, requested coaches invest in after seeing it utilized elsewhere.
“They’re able to use that,” Pittman said. “It’s about a 30-minute, maybe 45-minute learning where it’s virtual, where they can see the field off of practice tape and off of game tape.
