Arkansas football camp observations: New-look tight ends room hopes for smooth transition

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football tight ends had 32 receptions last season. Of those, 29 of those catches are now playing at other schools.

It’s a new-look tight end room for the Razorbacks.

Luke Hasz, who is now at Ole Miss and will miss time this season due to an ankle injury, had 26 of those receptions and a team-high 4 touchdowns. Ty Washington and Var'keyes Gumms were dismissed from the team last season and now play for Notre Dame and UNLV, respectively, while Shamar Easter transferred to North Carolina.

Andreas Paaske, who had 2 touchdowns and 3 receptions last season, and Maddox Lassiter, who played mostly as a fullback a year ago, are the lone returners.
