Arkansas football blows out Arkansas State 56-14 in first matchup between in-state teams

LITTLE ROCK — The first football game between Arkansas and Arkansas State quickly turned into a mismatch on Markham.

Quarterback Taylen Green accounted for 390 yards and 5 touchdowns to lead the Razorbacks to a 56-14 victory over the Red Wolves on Saturday. Attendance at War Memorial Stadium was announced as 54,224.

Arkansas (2-0) displayed superior speed and athleticism on both sides of the ball. The Razorbacks outgained the Red Wolves 631 yards to 285, including 290-18 in the first quarter as Arkansas built a 28-7 lead.
