FAYETTEVILLE — After ranking last in the nation in pass defense in 2022, the Arkansas Razorbacks made a huge leap in 2023, jumping to 32nd in the rankings in the first year under coordinator Travis Williams and defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson.
However, the Razorbacks regressed last season, falling way back to 111th in the nation and last in the SEC after allowing 246.9 passing yards per game.
The poor numbers were reflective of the entire secondary in combination with the pass rush, yet ineffective play at cornerback — where the Razorbacks tried five different starters — was a big culprit.
