Linebacker Caleb Gordon, who committed to Arkansas on June 3 as part of the 2026 class, has reopened his recruitment after seeing reports of defensive coordinator Travis Williams being dismissed Monday morning.
Razorbacks head coach Sam Pittman was fired on Sunday, with offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino taking over as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
“After seeing coach T-Will get fired, I’m deciding to part ways with Arkansas and 100% reopen my recruitment,” he said in a text.
Gordon, 6-0 and 217 pounds, of Gastonia (N.C.) Ashbrook, chose the Razorbacks over scholarship offers from Virginia, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, West Virginia and others.
