ATLANTA — Arkansas defensive tackle Cam Ball was wearing a necklace with a large pendant that featured a picture of his late father, Charles “Iceman” Ball, for all to see at SEC media days on Thursday.
Ball also wore custom baby blue shoes that read “Iceman Junior” in honor of his father, who passed away on June 9 in Atlanta after a bout with cancer.
The senior Ball was aware of his son’s invitation to represent the Razorbacks at media days and had planned to come to the event in their hometown.
“My father told me, he was like, it didn’t matter if he was in a wheelchair or if he’s dragged here, he just wanted to be here,” Ball said.
