FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas junior defensive end Quincy Rhodes was named one of 20 semifinalists for the Chuck Bednarik Award, which is given to college football’s most outstanding defensive player.
Rhodes ranks second in the SEC and eighth nationally with 14 tackles for loss. He has a team-best eight sacks, which is tied for 10th-most in the FBS.
The North Little Rock native would crack the program’s single-season top 10 list for sacks with his next one. He is six shy of Steven Conley’s record of 14 sacks in 1995.
