Arkansas cross country sweeps SEC meet again

The Arkansas men and women swept the SEC cross country championships Friday in Athens, Ga., marking the fifth consecutive season both teams have won the team titles.

The Razorbacks' men had three top 10 finishers and finished 40 points ahead of second-place Alabama in the 8,000-meter race. Arkansas' women had four top 10 finishers and finished 53 points ahead of runner-up Georgia in the 6,000-meter race.

Sophomore Taylor Werner led Arkansas' women with a second-place finish in 20:07:1. Defending national champion Karissa Schweizer of Missouri finished first with a time of 19:36:3.

Arkansas senior Alex George led the men with a fourth-place finish in 23:34:3.
