FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas men's basketball guard Darius Acuff was named SEC Freshman of the Week for the third consecutive week Monday. He earned the award after averaging 25 points, 8.5 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals in two games — a win over Queens and a loss to No. 8 Houston.
Acuff scored a career-high 27 points and had 7 assists and 5 rebounds against the Cougars on Saturday in Newark, N.J. He had a 23-point, 10-assist double-double against the Royals.
Acuff averages 18.9 points and 6.2 assists per game, both of which lead the team.
