FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas baseball team is the highest-seeded team to make it to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament.
The Razorbacks clinched the NCAA Fayetteville Regional convincingly Sunday night with an 8-3 victory over Creighton at Baum-Walker Stadium.
Arkansas (46-13) advanced to play at a home super regional that will begin either Friday or Saturday. The Razorbacks, who set a program record with their 35th home win, will host the super regional against the winner of the Knoxville Regional championship game between Tennessee and Wake Forest on Monday.
With top-seeded Vanderbilt and second-seeded Texas eliminated Sunday, third-seeded Arkansas is the highest seed remaining in a tournament that has been littered with upsets.
