The second-ranked Arkansas baseball team avoided a sweep and stayed within striking distance of an SEC championship Sunday.
A 7-4 victory at fourth-ranked LSU gave the Razorbacks (41-11, 18-9 SEC) sole possession of second place in the conference entering the final week of the regular season. Arkansas and LSU came into the day tied for second.
The Razorbacks are scheduled to conclude the season with a series against Tennessee that begins Thursday at Baum-Walker Stadium. Arkansas is 2 games behind Texas in the SEC standings with 3 games to play after the Longhorns dropped a home series to Florida with a 4-1 loss Sunday.
