FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas wore gold hats on Tuesday during its baseball game against Central Arkansas.
The hats are meant to promote childhood cancer awareness. Multiple events throughout the ballpark were scheduled to tie in with the awareness night, including ceremonial first pitches.
The hats, which include red trim and the Razorbacks’ ‘A’ logo, were first worn in a game in 2021 and have been sold by the university and its vendors since at least 2020.
Arkansas is 3-0 in its previous childhood cancer awareness games, with victories over Arkansas State in 2021 and 2022, and Missouri State last year.
