FAYETTEVILLE — Thunder from the Arkansas baseball pitching staff followed a 45-minute lightning delay Friday night.
The fifth-ranked Razorbacks recorded 15 strikeouts during their 6-1 victory over top-ranked Texas in front of a season-high home crowd of 11,074 at Baum-Walker Stadium.
Arkansas (39-9, 16-7 SEC) won the series and will go for a sweep Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. The Razorbacks won a series over a No. 1 team for the first time since winning at Texas A&M in 2015.
Like its 9-0 victory Thursday, Arkansas jumped to a quick lead and never gave the Longhorns (38-7, 19-4) a chance to make the game close.
