FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas moved to No. 4 in the USA Today Baseball Coaches Poll on Monday.
The Razorbacks (43-12, 20-10 SEC) concluded the regular season with a 2-1 series victory over Tennessee last week. The Volunteers fell from No. 14 to No. 17 in the poll.
There continues to be ambiguity about which is the best team nationally, though top-ranked LSU improved its number of first-place votes to 22. Second-ranked Texas (3), third-ranked North Carolina (1), Arkansas (2), fifth-ranked Oregon (1) and sixth-ranked Florida State (1) also received first-place votes this week.
The SEC has 10 teams ranked ahead of this week’s SEC Tournament in Hoover, Ala.
