FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas moved to No. 2 in the USA Today Baseball Coaches Poll on Monday, but the Razorbacks are still ranked behind the Texas team they swept by a cumulative score of 28-9 last week.
The No. 1 Longhorns received 12 of 30 first-place votes in the poll and the Razorbacks received 10. Florida State (5), Georgia (2) and North Carolina (1) also received first-place votes.
Arkansas (40-9, 17-7 SEC) moved up 3 places from No. 5 after the Razorbacks became the first team in the country to reach 40 wins when they completed the sweep of Texas with a 13-8 victory last Saturday.
