FAYETTEVILLE — Fifth-ranked Arkansas and 14th-ranked Tennessee have made tweaks to their pitching rotation for the final regular-season series.
The Volunteers will hold ace left-hander Liam Doyle until Game 2 on Friday. Doyle (2.17 ERA, 0.80 WHIP) is a favorite to be named SEC pitcher of the year next week.
Doyle made a 7-inning start against Vanderbilt last Saturday and pitched with a bloody blister. He pitched twice the week before against Auburn — the first inning of a series opener that was postponed due to rain and in relief on the final day of the series.
